Below, the results of the
2007 fantasy hoops mock draft conducted with the staff of FDH and
SportsTalkNetwork.com (standard 10X10 rotisserie scoring).
Notes By Round
Round 1: No big surprises early,
especially if you follow the FDH draft board. Wade probably goes
higher in most drafts, so nice value for Don.
Round 2: Davis was a bit of a surprise
for Tony -- clearly the postseason boosted his stock greatly. Camby
went higher than he will in most drafts.
Round 3: Howard and Stoudemire provide
explosiveness at center and were nice pickups. All-around threat Bar-
bosa was followed by several scoring specialists.
Round 4: 2006-07 breakthroughs Williams
and Deng will continue to improve and justify their selections here.
Round 5: Youth was served early here,
with Roy, Jefferson and Durant. Paul rolled the dice on Peja's
comeback at round's end.
Round 6: The run on centers picked up
steam in the first half of the round. We saw the depth at forward
here.
Round 7: Gibson was a reach for
Samantha. Nocioni and Richardson could be good stat-sheet filler
values.
Round 8: Now that's a center run!
5 in a row from picks 2-6. Mike loves to gamble and is poised to
benefit greatly from an AK-47 comeback.
Round 9: Diaw was a great value here.
Bynum and Foye have nice upside for this round.
Round 10: Paul joined Memphis in putting
his faith in Darko! This round had some "how the mighty have fallen"
names: Starbury and R. Wallace.
